Thirteen fast moving wildfires continue to rage here in California, ash falls, leaving a fine silty blanket.  A reminder that no one is spared from the devastation that marks one of this country’s greatest natural disaster.
California Firestorm
The view from my balcony
Gray smoke billows west
The night sky glows
The view from atop
Portola Plaza which is 15 minutes from our house
The blaze crests the ridge of Foothill Ranch
The fire threatens the homes in the valley below
The bright line of fire is a back-burner set by the fire fighters
The intense wall of smoke indicates  the strength and fury of the firestorm
The fire rises up and over the ridge
